Crynodeb
Purpose: Within the service(s), the Senior Staff Nurse (SSN) will be a leading member of the team, working within their scope of practice at all times under the direction of the Outpatient Manager and Consultant Surgeon(s) to provide expert care and support to patients undergoing outpatient and inpatient consultations and surgery. The post holder will: Be a positive role model for the service and to staff, and will be a patient advocate, ensuring a positive patient experience. Provide sound knowledge and support, including planning and delivering patient care and supporting treatment and aftercare as required by the role. Work within a governance framework and adhere to national/local regulatory requirements and clinical and professional standards. Under the supervision of the Outpatient Manager, will be responsible for supporting the development of the service, ensuring effective utilisation of all associated resources, providing efficient & effective day-to-day operational management & coordination of the service, allocating resources appropriately. Be responsible for ensuring the Plastics/Cosmetics care & treatment areas and associated equipment is safe, always fit for purpose and effectively maintained.
