Summary

Are you a detail-oriented Planner looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? We're looking for a proactive Planner to join our Birmingham Highways Maintenance Contract team based in Thimble Mill Lane. In this role you will develop and manage programmes for our Capital Works projects.



Location: Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham - site based 5 days per week

Hours: 12-month Fixed Term 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary: £27,976 - £33,000 per year + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Planner, you'll provide critical planning support to ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Your day to day will include:

-Creating and maintaining project schedules, allocating resources effectively across multiple projects

-Tracking progress against milestones and preparing insightful reports for stakeholders

-Identifying potential scheduling conflicts and developing contingency plans

-Facilitating communication between planning and delivery teams

-Ensuring project timelines align with overall programme objectives



What are we looking for?

This role of Planner is great if you:

-Have proven experience in highways maintenance and project planning within capital works

-Are confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable working with project management tools

-Bring excellent organisational skills and a strong eye for detail

-Communicate clearly and naturally build strong and effective relationships

-Enjoy problem-solving and take a proactive approach to risk management
