We are delighted to be recruiting to a full time B7 Practitioner Psychologist in the Paediatric Psychology Service at the Evelina London Children's Hospital. This is an exciting, varied post providing a wide range of experiences and opportunities across different specialities –Respiratory and our Non-Embedded Specialities Team (NEST) service that cover a variety of services (includingorthopaedics, palliative care, surgery, plastics, and intensive care).
We are looking for a motivated psychologist with an interest in working with children, young people and families with complex health conditions experiencing associated psychological distress or difficulties, as well as in working with professional colleagues in a collaborative manner to provide high quality holistic care.

The post consists of 3 days a week working in the Paediatric Respiratory and 2 days in the Non-Embedded Specialities Team (NEST) offering a wide range of opportunities and varied ways of working.. The role requires inpatient and outpatient working; MDT working, team liaison, and staff consultation is a fundamental part of the work.
The respiratory service supports children and their families with various conditions including children who are long term ventilated, those with complex asthma and other respiratory conditions. The post holder will be supported by a senior psychologist in the respiratory service.
The post holder will also work within NEST. NEST provides psychological support across general medicine as well as those medical specialities that do not have an embedded psychology service (e.g. orthopaedics, palliative care, surgery, plastics, and intensive care). The psychologist will be based within a small team of psychologists across different grades.
The post sits within Paediatric Psychology Services, which offers opportunities for collaborative working, audit, research, teaching and training. We meet regularly as a team to explore clinical dilemmas and share new learnings and developments. Supervision will be provided by an experienced Psychologist within the team. Additional opportunities include but do not stop with; journal club, reflective practice groups, and peer supervision as well as SIG networks nationally. Service relevant CPD is actively encouraged.
