TeacherActive is proud to be working in close partnership with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) schools and provisions across Cardiff. Due to increased demand, we are now seeking highly experienced SEND Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our dedicated team.

We operate 24/7 and have built strong, long-standing relationships with numerous SEND provisions across Cardiff and South Wales. We support pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH), Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD).
This role is best suited to candidates with extensive hands-on experience working in SEND schools, specialist provisions, PRUs, or alternative education settings.
The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant must have:
• Extensive experience working within SEND settings
• Proven experience supporting children with complex and multiple needs
• Strong background in 1:1 and small group support
• Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Confidence working with challenging behaviour and high-needs pupils
