Role Overview
Catalyst Care Group is seeking an Expert with Lived Experience (Learning Disability) Co-Trainer to support training delivery across the Manchester area. This role focuses on co-delivering the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, helping health and social care professionals improve their practice and understanding.
Your lived experience will be central to each session, ensuring training is meaningful, engaging, and grounded in real-life perspectives.
Key Duties
Co-facilitate in-person Oliver McGowan training sessions
Share lived experience to promote inclusive, person-centred care
Support participant engagement and discussion during sessions
Help ensure training remains accessible and impactful
Work collaboratively with the wider training team
Skills and Experience
Lived experience of a learning disability
Confidence communicating with groups
Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
Professional, respectful, and reliable approach
Passion for improving outcomes for people with learning disabilities
