Help Educate is supporting a specialist SEN provision in their search for a dedicated and compassionate Tutor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with a range of additional needs to reach their full potential.
The school provides a stable, structured and nurturing environment for children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans, including those with autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional or behavioural needs. Their focus is on breaking down barriers to learning through personalised, needs‑led teaching approaches.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Delivering engaging, accessible lessons on a 1:1 and small‑group basis
* Supporting learners working at EYFS/primary level, even if they are in older age groups
* Teaching across primary, secondary and post‑16 learners depending on need
* Assisting with and delivering lessons across a range of subjects
* Promoting pupils’ personal, social and emotional development
* Contributing to a safe, supportive and flexible learning environment
This position demands a confident practitioner with strong behaviour‑management skills, creative teaching approaches and resilience — which is why at least 3 years of relevant experience is essential.
Essential Experience:
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in SEND, SEMH, alternative provision, or specialist education
* Experience supporting learners with autism and/or complex additional needs
* Confidence delivering curriculum content at primary level
* A track record of building positive relationships with vulnerable young people
Important Information:
This role does NOT offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK.
How to Apply:
If you meet all of the above requirements and are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with additional needs, we encourage you to apply today.
Please submit your CV and a brief supporting statement outlining your relevant experience.
