Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Chaplain and Spiritual Lead to join our team.


Weston Hospicecare is a well-loved local charity providing specialist care to people living with life-limiting illnesses in Uphill, Weston-super-Mare. You can expect a warm welcome from all of our staff and volunteers.

The post holder will lead the Spiritual Care team, providing excellent pastoral, spiritual and religious care and support to our patients along with their families and carers. The post holder will manage a team of volunteers and support them regarding their patient and relative contact.

The post holder will be have experience of leadership in a pastoral capacity and will have a good understanding of identifying the Spiritual Care needs of patients, families and carers of those living with a life-limiting illness. You will be a caring highly skilled listener able to be responsive to people in distress and deliver ritual care which is culturally informed, and person centred. You will work within the clear boundaries of the UK Board of Healthcare Chaplaincy’s code of conduct
