The Breast Surgery Department in Hull is the Breast Cancer Centre for the Humber and Yorkshire Coast Cancer Network.
The department is based in a modern purpose built unit at the Castle Hill Hospital (CHH) site and is one of the busiest in the country, diagnosing and treating over 500 new breast cancers per year. Within this unit all symptomatic and screening patients are assessed on a multidisciplinary basis. Incorporated within the unit, in addition to the outpatient facilities there are radiology facilities, a meeting room for multidisciplinary team working and office space. All in-patient facilities are based on the Castle Hill site.
As a an employee of the Trust the post-holder will work in close co-operation with, and support, other clinical,medical,professionalandmanagerialcolleaguesinprovidinghighqualityhealthcaretotheTrust’spatients.
The successful candidate will join a hardworking and forward thinking Clinical team led by Mr Brendan Wooler. A wide range of opportunities will be provided to the successful candidate including outpatient clinic and theatre (inpatient and day case) working across a Monday – Friday weekly timetable, also including MDT participation.
