Crynodeb
Assist Research Nurse with patients study visits, screening clinics and clinical trial procedures. This will include venepuncture, vital signs, placement of Holter, ECG monitoring equipment and ECG recording (after appropriate training). Complete BLS training To carry out the collection, processing (including centrifugation, freezing) of biological specimens according to protocol requirements. Deal with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, medical staff and clinical trial personnel. Deal efficiently with enquiries from other departments or hospitals. Delivering prescriptions to pharmacy and collecting trial medication as required. Retrieval of medical records, investigation reports, etc. General clerical duties including filing of reports/letters, photocopying, faxing and correspondence. To carry out the collection of data, and accurate completion of research documentation as appropriate, with meticulous attention to detail Access data/information from Trust information systems as requiredAssisting members of the research team with general clerical duties. Deal with postal & telephone enquires on behalf of the research team. Observe strict confidentiality in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles. To meet on a regular basis with the CRU Clinical Manager for professional support and guidance. Attend training courses as and when required. To attend research network meetings, Investigator Meetings for clinical trials. To comply with ICH GCP. Promote, monitor and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety. Undertake any other duties deemed relevant to the post and grade.
