Scaffolding Estimator – Greater London & South East
£50,000 – £75,000 DOE | Permanent | Office-based with site visits
Blue Recruitment Personnel is working exclusively with a well-established, independent scaffolding contractor operating across Greater London and the South East.
Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Scaffolding Estimator to join a busy, close-knit team and take full ownership of pricing enquiries from initial site visit through to final quotation.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role, combining office-based estimating with regular site visits to ensure accurate, competitive, and well-structured pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend site visits to measure works, assess access constraints, and confirm scope
- Prepare full and detailed estimates covering labour, materials, transport/logistics, and preliminaries
- Produce clear, professional quotations and proposals for clients
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, estimates, and client communications
- Liaise with clients to clarify requirements, respond to queries, and negotiate where required
- Support cost control and budget tracking throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay up to date with scaffolding methods, market rates, and industry developments
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Scaffolding Estimator (scaffolding experience essential)
- Strong knowledge of tube & fitting and/or system scaffolds
- Confident using estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain scope and negotiate professionally
- Proactive, organised team player
- Full UK driving licence (for site visits)
What’s on Offer:
- Competitive salary: £50,000 – £75,000 (DOE)
- Electric company car and laptop provided
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus Christmas shutdown
- Pension scheme
- Monday to Friday working hours: 07:00 – 17:00
- Busy workload with genuine autonomy — this is a key commercial role, not just a desk-based estimating position
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Scaffolding Estimator looking for stability, responsibility, and long-term progression within a reputable and growing contractor.
