What skills and experience we're looking for

You will be able to collaborate regularly with other PE teachers in our Trust and benefit from many Trust wide sporting events and competitions. Maximum participation is an integral part of our offer, and we want someone with the same commitment and drive to ensure our children get as many opportunities to represent their school as they can.

We are looking for an outstanding colleague with an unrelenting drive to improve the life chances of our children. You will have a secure subject knowledge and demonstrate a clear passion and enthusiasm for your subject. As a Trust we were excited to have been chosen by the Department for Education as their approved sponsor to open a new secondary school to support the increasing population of Barnsley. In September 2021 Trinity Academy St Edward’s opened its doors to a founding cohort of Year 7 students from across the town.

We are now seeking a PE teacher to join our expanding team and become a key player in the development and success of Trinity Academy St Edward’s. The role of teacher of PE is such an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing team as it continues to establish itself within our wonderful academy. As well as ensuring our children benefit from a strong curriculum offer in PE, our team provide a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities. The role is ideal for a current teacher of PE (experienced or early career) to contribute to curriculum development and be an integral team player in a very talented group of professionals.
