Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support workshop staff across a range of technical activities
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and consistency
- Oversee stock control, material procurement and quality checks
- Diagnose issues and provide hands‑on technical support when required
- Plan and coordinate workshop jobs to maximise efficiency and meet deadlines
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and best practice
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation
- Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing staff development
- Foster a positive, collaborative and productive working environment
Experience & Qualities
- Previous experience in a workshop supervisory or management role
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Confident with IT systems and administrative tasks
- Technical understanding of fitting out or conversion work within automotive, yacht building, horsebox or similar industries (advantageous but not essential)
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (preferred but not essential)
