The Safety Maintainer is responsible for ensuring all equipment, systems and work areas operate safely and comply with health and safety regulations.
How you create impact
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
- Maintain accruate maintenance and safety records and documentation
- Promote safe working practices and support a positive safety culture
- Carry out servicing work and reports as required in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements for the inspection and maintenance of life and limb equipment
- Ensure the supervisor is made aware of spares requirements
- Ensure individual production targets are met
- Participate in audits, safety briefings, and continuous improvement activities
- Respond promptly to safety-related faults or emergencies
What we would like you to bring
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accruate record keeping
- Basic IT skills for reporting, logging and compliance systems
- Ability to adapt to change
- Clear communication skills and confidence to challenge unsafe practices
- UK Driving licence preferred
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, standards, and safe systems of work
