PART-TIME PRE-ASSESSMENT NURSE
One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, is looking for an experienced pre-assessment nurse to join their team on a part time basis.
Reporting to the Pre-Assessment Lead, the successful Part-Time Pre-Assessment Nurse will:
o Deliver high-quality, patient-centred pre-assessment care to support safe and effective surgical pathways
o Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care in line with clinical policies and protocols
o Undertake clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and medication training Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
o Provide health education and emotional support to patients and their families Work autonomously while collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate assessments, investigations and discharge planning
o Support the implementation of service protocols in line with nationally accredited guidelines and evidence-based practice
PART-TIME PRE-ASSESSMENT NURSE
QUALIFICATIONS
o Registered Nurse with NMC.
EXPERIENCE
o Clinical nursing experience in acute surgical care and preferably experience in pre assessment clinics.
o Proven ability to work independently and within a team.
SKILLS
o Demonstrable knowledge and skills and competency of required clinical practice.
o Phlebotomy, cannulation, ECGs, and intravenous antibiotics would be an advantage.
o Comprehensive written, numerical and verbal communication skills
o Experience in computer skills using MS Office Suite and web based reporting systems.
o Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
o Excellent customer service skills.
o A sound understanding of safeguarding principles and policies, with the ability to act appropriately to protect vulnerable individuals.
DESIRABLES
o Enthusiasm for cross functional working within clinical departments as reasonably required.
o Experience in the private sector.
o Experience in pre-assessment clinics.
