A well-established, modern small animal veterinary practice in Basildon, Essex is seeking an RVN to join it's supportive, close-knit nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary nurse looking to work in a practice that values teamwork, professional development, and high clinical standards.
Working Pattern

8.5-hour shifts between 07:30 and 19:30

Monday to Friday

Saturday rota with TOIL for any weekend worked

30-minute unpaid break per shift
Salary & Benefits

The Role
The successful Registered Veterinary Nurse will be clinically driven, compassionate, and confident (or keen to develop) in all aspects of veterinary nursing. Nurses are actively supported to work to the full scope of their qualification, including Schedule 3 procedures, once trained and competent.
Key Responsibilities

Inpatient care and patient monitoring (TPRs, medications, fluid therapy)

Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring

Theatre preparation and instrument sterilisation
-
Schedule 3 procedures, including suturing and dental scaling (training provided)

Diagnostic support including blood sampling, urinalysis, laboratory work, X-rays and ultrasound

Nurse clinics and preventative healthcare
-
Client communication, including admissions and discharges
-
Supporting student nurses and new team members
