Stores Person - £12.60 per hour - Based in Newport, South Wales - 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday (early finish on Friday) - 28 days holiday, On site parking, Pension, subsidised canteen, gym facilities. Temporary ongoing position to start ASAP.
We are recruiting a Stores Person for our global manufacturing client based in Newport, South Wales - this is a long term temporary position to start immediately, which could lead to a permanent position.
Working as part of a small team and reporting to the Packing Manager, the role to the Stores / Packing Operator will involve packing and labelling goods and kit to be despatched to customers. This role would suit someone who has previous experience working in a stores, warehouse or despatch environment.
Duties will include:
- Working from kit lists to package and label parts
- Preparing goods to be despatched (both in UK and overseas)
- Using computers to produce lists and labels
- General Warehouse duties
Required skills and experience:
- Good IT skills - knowledge of SAP or MRP systems would be preferred
- Forklift / counterbalance licence (Preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience working in warehouse or stores environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent reliability and punctuality
Iniitally this role will involve working a days role, however there is potential that it will move to a rotating day shift (6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm, Mon to Fri) - which will be paid at shift premium rate.
