We're looking for organised, proactive individuals to join our Clinical Site Team as Clinical Flow Coordinators.
You'll play a key role in keeping our hospital running smoothly - ensuring patients move safely and efficiently through their care journey, from admission to discharge. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll be at the heart of our hospital operations, supporting clinical teams to maintain safe patient flow and deliver the highest quality of care.
You'll bring strong organisational and communication skills, thrive under pressure, and enjoy working collaboratively in a busy hospital setting. Most importantly, you'll be motivated by making a real difference for patients every day.
Date of Interview: 12th February 2026
• Coordinate patient flow across the hospital’s emergency and elective pathways, ensuring safe, timely, and effective movement of patients.
• Support daily hospital operations by maintaining oversight of bed availability and capacity using real-time digital management systems.
• Allocate beds in line with clinical priorities and national standards (e.g. stroke, cardiac, and orthopaedic pathways).
• Work closely with Clinical Site Managers, Senior Nurse Coordinators and Discharge Teams to ensure efficient patient transfer and discharge.
• Provide live updates and accurate performance reports, including daily situation reports (sit-reps) to NHS England and key stakeholders.
• Proactively manage expected admissions and facilitate patient transfers to ease pressure in high-demand areas such as the Emergency Department.
• Communicate effectively with all teams to resolve issues affecting patient flow or operational efficiency.
• Identify and escalate risks or delays that could impact patient safety, care quality, or service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies and support safe discharge planning.
• Contribute to induction and training for new team members, supporting the development of the Clinical Site Team.
• Participate in audits, service reviews and improvement projects to enhance operational performance and patient experience.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Trust procedures and data protection requirements.

Please note if the role or service is relocated as part of a planned move, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from the postholder's home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute. Any other changes not related to this relocation will be managed according to the relevant Trust or National terms and conditions.

• Take part in audits and service improvement work.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records in line with Trust policy.
