Venturers' Academy are looking for a bank Teaching Assistant to inspire confidence, spark progress and make every day meaningful, supporting pupils to thrive in a nurturing, specialist SEND environment where individuality is celebrated and potential is unlocked.
Key responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions
Support individual and small groups of students to access learning, following teacher planning and guidance
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent, trauma-informed and autism-aware strategies
Build strong, respectful relationships that support students’ confidence, independence, and wellbeing
Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and personalised learning strategies
Support personal care needs where required, with dignity and respect
Pay range:
· SCP 8 - £13.90
· FTE - £26,824.00
Qualifications:
· GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above
· A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
· A commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition
· The ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the direction of teaching staff
· Strong communication skills and a calm, patient, and flexible approach
