The Cathedral School, Cardiff's leading independent school for girls and boys, is seeking to appoint a professional, friendly and reliable Minibus Driver to join our existing successful team from February 2026 or as soon as possible.
The post holder will not have set hours each week, but hours will be allocated by the Premises Manager as and when they are available, by agreement with the post holder in advance. The school’s regular minibus service transports pupils to and from school from 6.30-8.30am, and then 4.00-5.30pm or 4.30-6.00pm (variable subject to after school activities), Monday-Friday, term time only. Additional minibus journeys are made regularly each week to external venues for sporting activities, lessons and other trips, and the timings of these are varied. There may be occasional weekend hours.
We welcome applications from candidates who are available for limited hours, or varied. Please indicate your availability in your application letter.
The rate of pay is £12.78 per hour, payable via authorised timesheets submitted. For further information about the role and staff benefits, please see the candidate pack.
It is essential that you have D1 on a clean driving licence and the successful candidate will be subject to identity and DBS checks in order to establish that they are suitable to have access to children.
Standards at the school, academic and behavioural are very high and there is a strong Christian ethos. We are committed to a policy of equality. It is recognised and welcomed that teaching and support staff will come to the school with a variety of faiths, beliefs and backgrounds. We aim to ensure that no job applicant, member of staff, student or other member of the school community is treated less favourably on any grounds. We particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups.
Applications are invited as soon as possible, and interviews will take place on a rolling basis thereafter. Should you require any further information about the role, please call David Paris, Premises Manager.
