Job Title: Senior Exams Officer
Actual Annual Salary: £35,692 - £38,080 Based on hours and weeks worked.Full Time Equivalent Salary: £39,649 – £42,301(CLF Grade F). Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only, plus insets, plus 2 weeks (10 days)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Additional role info: Working Pattern = Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day 8am to 4pm with 30-minute lunch & Friday 7 hours 8am to 3.30pm with 30-minute lunch.

We are looking for a Senior Exams Officer with the passion and drive to make a difference to the lives of young people, for them to thrive and reach their potential with high quality examinations provision. The role will involve managing and leading a team of exam assistants across a double exam centre (John Cabot Academy 11-16 and CLF Post 16, 16-19)
The centre offers the full range of examinations and qualifications, working across a wide range of exam boards and levels of awards. The team are experts and hold extensive knowledge surrounding the complexity and challenges of examinations held in this school setting.
The postholder will be required to also lead a network of exam officers form across the secondary school sector of the trust, providing training, collaboration and support to this wider team of colleagues. It is an exciting role, that provides huge reward from supporting staff and students in pressurised and stressful times.
About you:
You will have:
Have advanced knowledge of the full range of examinations and qualifications across multiple key stages (KS4 &5) and work in a fast-paced environment.
Have an up-to-date knowledge of exam board rules, subject specifications, JCQ guidance, relevant legislation and/or demonstration of an ability to maintain awareness of a specific subject area and apply in practical environment.
Demonstrates ability to operate at NVQ level 4 in business and administration or equivalent.
Experience of leading within a pressurised setting, with high accountability and lead a team to deliver accurately and to meet deadlines.
Exceptional organisational skills which demonstrate an ability to manage resources, budget and resolve challenges to achieve positive outcomes.
Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students, and parents working collaboratively.
