Our Lincolnshire based Client is recruiting for a Factory Operative to join their busy operations team on a full time, permanent basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for developing a career in a progressive global company.
The Role
The company is seeking a Factory Operative, based within the Operations team to support with Factory tasks. This is a permanent position, based at our Grantham office, offering an excellent opportunity for developing a career in a progressive global company.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Building a range of products from drawings. This includes cutting, welding, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.
- Operate production equipment mainly hand tools.
- Keeping the workstation clean to avoid hazards.
- Follow the company’s Health & Safety and quality guidelines.
- Collecting and delivering materials as required.
- Forklift license and welding experience would be desirable.
- Assisting the factory supervisor.
The Candidate
The Factory Operative role would be a perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic individual within a relevant discipline keen to establish and progress a career in an engineering environment. Alternatively, a person with a successful track record in a similar role with an interest in the engineering and fabrication. Attitude is key, as you will be making a major contribution to the development of this progressive company.
Previous experience as a production / manufacturing worker would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of how to use production equipment.
- Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures (PPE provided).
- Forklift license (counterbalance) and welding experience would be advantageous.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
