About the Client
Liverpool City Council’s Education Service is committed to ensuring children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive timely, high‑quality support. Their SEND team works collaboratively with schools, settings, families, and multi‑agency partners to deliver a child‑centred approach that promotes inclusion, achievement, and positive long‑term outcomes.

The Role
The SEND Caseworker will coordinate the statutory assessment process for children and young people with SEND, ensuring that Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans are produced, monitored, and reviewed within statutory timescales. The role involves supporting schools and settings in applying the graduated approach, developing strong working relationships with SENCos and leaders, and ensuring that children and families remain central to all planning and decision‑making.

This is a key role within the SEND service, requiring confident case management, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across education, health, and social care.
