Assistant School Caretaker

Salary - £25,583 – £25, 989
Monday - Friday 10.30am - 6.30pm (6.00pm on a Friday) during school term time Monday – Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm during school holidays.
Our Client are looking for an experienced Assistant Caretaker to join their established team to assist the Caretaker to provide a clean and safe environment for users of the school buildings and grounds.
Duties:
• To maintain the security of the school’s buildings and grounds
• To operate the school’s heating plant
• To undertake general porterage duties including movement of furniture and equipment within the school
• To carry out maintenance duties which may include minor repairs to furniture and fixtures and non-specialist decorating tasks
• To carry out daily and periodic cleaning of designated areas of the school buildings and grounds according to schedule of work
• Deputise for the Caretaker when required, including opening and closing the school
• To carry out setting up of - and provide support for - school events, including assemblies
The school is situated at the edge of Hemel Hempstead and is within easy access of the M1/M25 and the train station.
