Living wage rate - £12.60 per hour , wages are paid 4 weekly in arrears
Annual Leave
5.6 weeks paid Annual leave pro rate for contracted staff

Job Purpose
To support a young man with social support , getting out and about within his community . Part of the role would be using your own car to get him to his activities ( petrol will be reimbursed )
His Hobbies are going to the gym, taking part in classes at Centerstage, community classes, going out walks, shopping, going out for lunch
Employer You will be employed by a private employer, who will be assisted to administer payroll and undertake the necessary employment support responsibilities by a relevant support organisation.
Probationary period
• There is a 6 month probationary period attached to the post
• Successful applicant must undergo a new or update of the PVG disclosure scheme and supply 2 up to date reference contacts prior to appointment
• PVG will be paid by you, but be reimbursed after your first pay
You will be responsible for supporting the person to engage in all aspects of community life and activities as directed, as well as ensuring his safety whilst in your care.
Being flexible is a key component to this job and you will be guided by the employer about the particular activities that will be undertaken, times and days the activity takes place. You will be assisting the young man with personal choice and encouraging independence.
You may be required to work in the evening as part of the role and weekends ( to be further discussed at interview ). This will usually be planned in advance.
You will be required to drive your own vehicle, therefore must have a clean drivers licence with business use ( proof will be required – copy of your car Ins )
You may at times be required to provide companionship in the young mans own home.

Te person should be good at connecting into community activities and making contacts/networks Wide experience of community activities
Other You must have a full clean UK driving licence
You must be physically
You must have a good sense of humour, be flexible and reliable
There is 5.6 weeks A/L attached to the post. Of which you may be asked to use 2 weeks at the same time as the employer.
There is also a 6 month probationary period with a 1 weeks notice within this time, if the post does not work out.
