Crynodeb

At Joe Browns, we don’t just create remarkable clothing and homeware – we create a remarkable place to work.

We’re looking for a People & Culture Administrator to join our friendly HR team at Head Office. This is a varied, people-facing role that sits right at the heart of the employee experience, combining HR administration with front-of-house, engagement and culture-focused activity.

This role is perfect for someone with a genuine can-do attitude, who is happy to roll their sleeves up, get stuck in and support wherever needed. If you’re organised, approachable, and enjoy being the person who helps everything run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

As People & Culture Administrator, you’ll support the HR Manager with the smooth running of all people-related administration, while also being the friendly face and voice of Joe Browns at Head Office.

From welcoming visitors and candidates, to supporting new starters, engagement events and internal communications, you’ll help ensure every interaction reflects our fun, inclusive and distinctive culture.

This role is admin-heavy, but never dull. It suits someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in the detail, and is always willing to jump in and help - no task too small, no two days the same.

What you’ll be doing

People & HR Administration
-Supporting the HR Manager with day-to-day people administration
-Preparing contracts, new starter paperwork and employment variations
-Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems (People First)
-Recording sickness absence and annual leave
-Supporting recruitment administration and onboarding activity
-Supporting onboarding, probation reviews and leaver processes
-Acting as a first point of contact for basic people and HR system queries

Front of House & Employer Experience
-Welcoming visitors, candidates and new starters to Head Office
-Managing calls, emails, deliveries and meeting room bookings
-Ensuring reception and meeting spaces are always guest-ready

Culture, Engagement & Communications
-Supporting employee engagement events, celebrations and wellbeing initiatives
-Helping coordinate internal communications and keep noticeboards fresh and engaging

Office & Colleague Experience
-Ordering office supplies and refreshments
-Managing the Joe Browns Staff Shop and supporting colleagues with purchases
-Helping maintain a welcoming, well-presented office environment
About you

We’re looking for someone who:
-Has experience in an administrative, front-of-house or HR-related role
-Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
-Is friendly, approachable and confident communicating with people at all levels
-Is comfortable handling confidential information
-Is confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
-Has a positive, can-do attitude and is genuinely happy to get stuck in and support wherever needed
-Experience supporting HR, recruitment, events or internal communications is a bonus but attitude, enthusiasm and people skills are absolutely key.

Why join Joe Browns?

At Joe Browns, we don’t just create remarkable clothing - we create a remarkable place to work.

From day one, you’ll feel the difference: a vibrant, supportive culture where individuality is celebrated, ideas are shared freely, and every colleague is valued for exactly who they are.
