Role: Locum Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Rates: £100 - £125 per hour (PAYE)
Shifts: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital
Job Details: Provide guidance and supervision to crisis and intensive home treatment team including: - Attending daily handover case management meetings - Liaise with children, families and community psychiatrists - Conduct psychiatric assessments in patients homes and general hospital sites across Kent - Lead on emergency MHA assessments in 136 suite and general hospital sites - Manage 1-3 72hr sleepover beds at Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital Section 12 Approval essential and AC desirable CCT desirable

About the Role
As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS, you'll play a vital role in supporting young people with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Developing and overseeing treatment plans
- Working closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff
What We're Looking For
Essential
- MBChB or equivalent medical degree
- MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalent
- Full GMC registration with a specialist licence to practise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Section 12(2) Approval
- A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
- UK Right to Work
