ZEST Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time SEN Teacher to join a mainstream Primary School. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individualised attention and support they require to thrive.

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of each student. Your duties will include developing and implementing tailored lesson plans, employing a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate your students, and regularly assessing their progress to ensure they are meeting their learning objectives.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in special educational needs (SEN) teaching, with a deep understanding of the diverse learning styles and challenges faced by students with various disabilities and additional needs. You will be a skilled communicator, adept at collaborating with parents, carers, and a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to each student's educational journey.

- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and ADHD
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and support their learning
- Regularly assess student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly to ensure optimal learning outcomes
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in SEN teaching
- Contribute to the overall development and implementation of the school's SEN policies and initiatives
- Supporting a small class of students in KS1
- You will also be supported by an experienced co-teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching students with special educational needs in a school or educational setting
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Creativity and adaptability in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and teaching strategies
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to promoting the wellbeing and academic success of all students
