Job Description:

SEN Teacher - Egham, Surrey
Independent SEN Provision | Expanding Team | Secondary Phase
Salary - negotiable depending on experience, will include SEN point

Zest Education is proud to be supporting a growing independent SEN school in Egham as they look to welcome an additional SEN Teacher to their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing, forward‑thinking provision that is genuinely transforming the lives of young people.

About the School

This specialist setting supports secondary‑aged students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced past trauma or prolonged school avoidance. The school's mission is clear: to rebuild confidence, re‑ignite a love of learning, and help students re‑integrate into education at a pace that works for them.

Despite being an SEMH environment, the behaviour here is not highly challenging. There is no violence and the school prides itself on creating a calm, therapeutic atmosphere where relationships come first and staff feel supported.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons to small groups of secondary‑aged learners
- Build trusting relationships that encourage students to re-engage with education
- Work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to the school's continued growth and positive culture
- This role would suit a teacher with a passion for SEN, a calm and empathetic approach, and a desire to make a meaningful impact.

Start Date

The school is ready for someone to start ASAP, but they are equally happy to wait for the right person if you need to work a notice period.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely change lives-and be part of an expanding, supportive provision-this could be the perfect next step in your SEN career.
