As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Kier, you'll play a crucial role in maximising project profitability while building positive relationships with clients and supply chain partners. You'll be responsible for managing commercial resources, mitigating contractual risks, and ensuring optimal cash flow through effective measurement and valuation of work.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial team, on a major Life Sciences project in Coventry. Your day to day will include:
-Managing commercial relationships with clients, contractors and subcontractors
-Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing and payment processes
-Negotiating and agreeing variations to contracts within delegated authorities
-Positively managing project cash flows
-Assessing, controlling and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
-You have experience in a similar commercial role within construction
-You possess excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
-You're qualified in Quantity Surveying (Degree or HNC desirable)
-You have strong organisational abilities and can prioritise effectively
-You're comfortable using Microsoft Office and bespoke software packages
