An exciting opportunity has become available for an Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join a long established, well-equipped veterinary hospital in Cardiff. This is a unique chance for an experienced ECC Veterinary Surgeon to be part of a forward thinking hospital that prioritises high clinical standards, patient focused care, and genuine work–life balance. The service is designed around quality, not quotas, allowing vets to focus on delivering exceptional emergency and critical care in a supportive, well-resourced environment.
This Cardiff veterinary hospital is known for its strong team culture and community feel. The OOH Veterinary Surgeon role focuses exclusively on emergency and critical care cases, removing the pressure of routine consultations and financial targets. The rota follows a highly attractive pattern of 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 14 days off, offering excellent downtime and flexibility. The hospital is fully equipped with modern diagnostics, up to date equipment, clear clinical protocols, and a skilled nursing support team, enabling confident decision making and high quality patient outcomes.
This role also offers the opportunity to support and mentor veterinary students, contributing to their real world clinical development in a hands on ECC environment.
