We are seeking an experienced Senior Retail Manager to lead the operations of six busy retail and catering units across UHCW, including two Costas, two restaurants, a Subway and a Starbucks.
This brand-new role is pivotal in delivering a high-quality catering and retail service that provides appetising, nutritious and varied food and drink options to customers 365 days a year.
Job Description
We are looking for a leader who can ensure the service remains flexible and responsive to changing customer and Trust needs, while operating within finite financial resources.
You will champion high standards, operational excellence and a customer-focused culture across all retail locations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, guidance and support to all departmental staff to deliver efficient services in line with ISS and Trust standards.
Maintain full compliance with Hospital Food Standards, Government Buying Standards, Food Standards Guidance and all relevant catering legislation.
Build and sustain effective working relationships with Trust staff, patients, customers and external stakeholders.
Ensure quality, activity and performance monitoring processes are implemented and maintained.
Manage departmental objectives, financial targets and retail/catering offers to support contract performance and service development.
Plan, develop and deliver catering and retail concepts that reflect current market trends across all sites.
Ensure all catering and retail environments meet required Health, Safety, Hygiene and security standards.
Oversee resource planning, budgeting, sales forecasting and financial performance.
Develop and maintain appropriate and varied menu offerings across all locations.
Manage contractors to ensure delivery aligns with ISS and Trust expectations within agreed timelines.
Conduct staff appraisals, identify training needs and support team development and progression.

Proven experience managing busy retail or multi-site operations.
Hands-on operational background with the ability to lead from the front.
