Neway International are seeking an Adult Learning Tutor – Adult Education – Horsham – Technical to join our client based with West Sussex County Council.

Location: Chart Way, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 1XH
Hours: 30 per week
Start Date: 16 February 2026

Employment Type: Temporary

Work Pattern: Delivery is face to face across community settings; PPA can be hybrid.

About the Client
West Sussex County Council’s Adult Learning service aims to maximise adult participation in education and training. Their curriculum supports five key outcomes: Learning for Work, Learning for Life, Learning to Support Families, Learning for Health and Wellbeing, and Learning for Enrichment and Personal Interest. The team works collaboratively with internal WSCC departments, external partners, and community stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accessible learning opportunities for residents, particularly those who are most vulnerable.

The Role
You will join the Adult Learning team as an experienced and qualified tutor, reporting to a Programme Officer. You will contribute to the development and delivery of a curriculum that enables adult learners to access meaningful, high-quality education and training. Your work will support learners to progress, build confidence, and achieve their potential. The role requires travel to various community venues across the county.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality adult learning sessions in line with curriculum requirements.

Develop engaging learning materials and schemes of work aligned to service outcomes.

Work collaboratively with WSCC teams, partners, and community organisations.

Support learners to achieve their goals through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.

Ensure compliance with ESFA, Ofsted, and internal quality standards.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and reporting processes.

Promote inclusive learning and support the needs of vulnerable learners.

Travel independently to multiple delivery locations across West Sussex.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified tutor with relevant subject specialism(s).

Strong understanding of ESFA and Ofsted requirements.

Experience delivering adult learning in community-based settings.

Ability to design and deliver high-quality, learner-centred sessions.

Confident working with diverse learner groups, including vulnerable adults.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

Reliable access to transport for travel across the county.

Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
