Our expertise extends to supporting the wider composites sectors producing unique, high-performance engineered components and assemblies for Marine, Automotive and wider industrial applications.
Summary of Role:
Reporting to the Value Stream Leader and working as part of a supportive team, the Technician would be responsible for manufacturing a wide range of complex parts.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Layering pre-cut, pre-preg sheets of material on to an aluminium tool to create a specific component for a customer (referred to as “Laminating”)
• Following specific work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (with full training provided by an experienced Laminator)
• Preparing laminated components for the autoclave; this involves wrapping the component in protective material and positioning in a vacuum bag.
• Assisting with loading and unloading Autoclave as and when required
• Inspecting completed components to ensure they meet the required standard before they leave the department
• Ensuring that the components are properly protected for transportation to the next department
• Responsible for maintaining all tools to a satisfactory condition and always ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Governance and compliance to company policies; all statutory regulations, QHSE and HR procedures.
