We are currently seeking a Laser Operator to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment. This role involves operating and maintaining TRUMPF CNC laser cutting machines, including TRUMPF 7000 and 5000 series, producing high-quality components to engineering specifications.

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts
06:00 – 14:00
14:00 – 22:00
Overtime available up to 06:00 – 00:00
Pay & Progression
Starting rate: £12.21 per hour
Pay increases every 3 months, based on a structured level system
Maximum rate: £15.50 per hour
Overtime paid where applicable
Key Responsibilities
Operating a TRUMPF CNC laser cutting machines ( and other Laser CNC equipment)
Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
Running laser programs and making adjustments where required
Monitoring machine performance and quality during production
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
Measuring and inspecting finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
Carrying out routine machine checks, basic maintenance, and fault reporting
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
Maintaining accurate production and quality records
Supporting continuous improvement within the laser department
Working flexibly to meet production demands, including overtime when required
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines(TRUMPF experience highly desirable)
Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good problem-solving skills and mechanical awareness
Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime
A proactive and reliable attitude
