Year 3 Teacher – Long-Term Supply (ASAP Start)
Location: Knowsley
In partnership with Desian Education
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Knowsley, working closely with Desian Education, is seeking a committed and resilient Year 3 Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis, starting ASAP.
This role is to cover a long-term sickness absence and is expected to continue until at least the end of the academic year, offering stability and continuity for the pupils.
The Role:
Full responsibility for teaching a Year 3 class
Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
Managing classroom behaviour positively and consistently
Working collaboratively with a dedicated Teaching Assistant, who will provide daily classroom support
Supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally during a period of transition
The Class:
The class has been described as challenging, largely due to recent disruption caused by staff absence. With the right consistency, strong relationships, and clear expectations, the school believes the class has excellent potential to settle and thrive.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS (or equivalent)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
Be confident, patient, and resilient with strong behaviour management skills
Be passionate about making a positive impact and providing stability for pupils
Work well as part of a supportive school team
The School Offers:
A supportive senior leadership team
Full-time Teaching Assistant support
Clear routines and guidance to help you succeed in the role
Ongoing support from Desian Education throughout the placement
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for a rewarding long-term role, where you can truly make a difference and see the impact of your work over time.
