Our team on Riverside Ward specialises in acute surgical patients, supporting patients recovering from a range of surgeries and helping them to regain their independence through high quality care. Our diverse group of patients include those recovering from general surgery, colorectal, urology, breast surgery and more.
You’ll be part of an expert multidisciplinary team providing excellent clinical care to patients with complex rehabilitation and discharge requirements, and you’ll also provide acute medical interventions to patients with a wide range of conditions.

• To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.
• Monitor and maintain policies, standards of nursing care and staff development, as part of the ward team.
• Develop the skills and knowledge and then to progress through the second gateway (to carry out all relevant duties without supervision, as delegated by line manager).
• Provide nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/carers without supervision in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
