At Birkenhead Sixth Form College, we are passionate about high-quality teaching and committed tofostering a positive, progressive environment for both our students and staff.We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and outstanding Teacher of Sociology to join our Sociologydepartment. This is a full-time position on a fixed term basis to provide maternity cover until the end ofthe 26/27 academic year. The course follows the AQA specification, with a strong emphasis onacademic rigour and covering topics such as Education, Crime and Deviance and Families.
The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for Sociology and the ability to inspire andchallenge students both inside and outside the classroom. They will deliver highly effective, engaginglessons, drawing on evidence-based teaching practices to support excellent student progress andoutcomes.
You will join a supportive and very successful department that values innovation, reflective practice, andprofessional development, and is committed to helping students develop a deep understanding ofsociety and social issues.
