We're recruiting for a Claims Settlement Team Leader to join our team, based at our office in Bedford, MK44 3JZ.
As a Claims Settlement Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of settlement agents, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance, and performance across all vehicle's total loss settlement activities. You'll play a key role in training, supporting, and developing your team while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and coach a team of settlement agents
- Monitor team performance and ensure targets, KPIs, and SLAs are consistently met
- Ensure all claims settlements are processed accurately and efficiently
- Handle escalated queries or complaints from customers and insurer clients
- Maintain strong compliance with FCA and data protection regulations
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and team productivity
- Provide training, performance feedback, and development support to the team
- Collaborate with other departments to support end-to-end service delivery
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within claims, insurance, or a related environment
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and financial information with confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Working knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance standards
Desirable:
- Experience in the automotive or salvage industry
- Familiarity with vehicle total loss processes
- Proficiency in claims or CRM systems
