LINE COOK – DEVELOPMENT KITCHEN | £27,200 per annum

This role will be based within the Development Kitchen at our Sherwood Forest village.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Line Cook to join our Development Kitchen, working closely with the Group Development Chef (GDC).

The role will play a key part in the preparation and delivery of all food and drink production for menu development. Responsibilities will include supporting tastings, test cooking, training sessions and photoshoots for food and drink menus, as well as contributing to the production of marketing and training collateral.

The successful candidate will bring proven experience as a Line Cook, including supervisory responsibilities and will act as a positive role model within the kitchen. You will demonstrate a supportive, collaborative approach and a strong commitment to quality, consistency and innovation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a creative, development-focused environment and contribute directly to the evolution of our food and drink offering.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility will be required.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience at Line Cook level, including supervisory responsibility producing a range of dishes using fresh produce
  • Positive role model and supportive approach to leading a team

Desirable requirements:

  • A formal cooking qualification or willingness to study towards
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate
  • Previous experience in a food development environment
  • Naturally cheerful, patient and friendly
  • Previous administration experience including the use of Word and Excel
