The Role
As Operations Manager (Infrastructure), you will lead the delivery of reliable, secure and forward-looking ICT services to schools, academies and Multi Academy Trusts. You will provide strategic oversight of infrastructure services, ensuring performance meets agreed standards, customer expectations and value-for-money requirements. The role includes leading technical staff, managing suppliers and complex ICT projects, developing services in response to demand, contributing to ICT strategy, and providing technical consultancy to stakeholders. You will monitor service and financial performance and deputise for the ICT Unit Manager when required.
About You
You will be an experienced ICT professional with strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, able to operate confidently within a complex public-sector and education-focused environment.
You will bring:
Experience of ICT service delivery and infrastructure management
Proven leadership and people-management capability
Strong project and contract management skills
The ability to translate technical solutions into practical, customer-focused services
A focus on quality, value for money and continuous improvement
Experience of working within, or alongside, schools, academies, MATs or other public-sector organisations.
