My client is a small international bank, based in the heart of London, with branches around the world. The firm focusses on providing corporate, commercial, and retail banking services to a diverse client base. Your new role
The client is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join them for 6 months (with the possibility to extend). Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing & submitting daily, weekly and monthly Head Office reports.
- Reporting on the daily LCR report
- Performing daily reconciliations
- Preparing invoice entries and entering supplier payments through the Faster payment system
- Preparing Quarterly VAT Returns for all branches and subsidiaries
- Monthly and Quarterly BoE Reporting
- Assisting with other reports when needed
- Providing support to staff regarding daily operational work
- Replying to ad hoc queries received from other departments
- Assisting with invoices scanning
What you'll need to succeed
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and a strong academic track record
- Experience in banking
- Personable, with strong communication skills for liaising with other departments
- Attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure
- Adaptability to assist all areas of the finance team
