We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a part time cleaner in the Epsom Downs DEN Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out basic cleaning and cleaning tasks to leave the facility clean and tidy. To include:
Clean classrooms, hallways and other areas within the facility;
Empty bins and dispose of waste;
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors; and
Follow Health and Safety guidelines including COSHH regulations.
Carrying out basic repair and/or maintenance duties as instructed.
Collecting and using tools and equipment needed for given tasks, checking they are safe and fit for use, kept in good condition and returned on completion.
We are looking for individuals who:
Have a positive can-do attitude;
Have previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school of similar environment (desirable but not essential);
Have the ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level; and
Are able to work independently and as part of a team. In return we can offer you: A dedicated and friendly team;

Enrolment in a local government pension scheme.
This is a part time position working 10 hours per week over 43 weeks per annum (term time only plus an additional 4 weeks – 2 weeks in the Summer, 1 week at Easter and 1 week in the October half term). The full time equivalent annual salary is £23,322 and the pro rata annual salary is £6,144.
