To work in a team with Nursing and Medical Staff and other Healthcare, Allied Health professionals and support staff. To report all incidents/accidents involving patients and staff to the RN and to assist in any enquiries. Completing required incident report/Datix. To answer telephone enquiries pleasantly, in accordance with the Trusts telephone answering technique and take the appropriate action. To participate in the use of IT within the department. Skills in using both verbal and non-verbal communication are essential, and you are expected to provide clear and effective information and communication, both verbally and in writing. Promptly referring enquiries to correct person. To maintain confidentiality at all times in and out of the hospital environment. To demonstrate an awareness of different cultural, ethnic and religious needs. Act in ways which support equality and value diversity. Promptly referring enquiries to correct person. Taking and recording of temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height and weight on instruction from the consultant/nurse. Recording the results appropriately and reporting any abnormalities to Consultant/Nurse in Charge. To maintain confidentiality at all times in and out of the hospital environment. To demonstrate an awareness of different cultural, ethnic and religious needs. Act in ways which support equality and value diversity. Attend mandatory training updates as required. Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with the line manager as part of the personal development process. Achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales.
