Crynodeb
Teaching is provided in a variety of clinical settings, and the post holders will undertake ten fixed sessions per week working with undergraduate medical students from both Cambridge and Leicester Medical Schools who are on formal placements in Emergency Medicine. The post holder will be expected to participate in student induction sessions and assessment sessions along with consultants. The post holder will be the main point of contact for all medical students in this particularly hard-pressed department. Tasks will include working with medical students each day to assign cases, receive back student findings, act as liaison between medical students and clinical staff as well as presenting structured teaching sessions, bedside teaching or ensuring that these are presented by appropriate colleagues. The post-holder will also be required to participate in student induction sessions as well as formative exams, including OSCEs, held at the Trust on behalf of the Medical Schools. It is expected that annual leave will be taken when students are not on placement to the Trust. If leave is taken during a student placement block a prospective cover will have to be agreed by the Medical Education Department.
