Crynodeb
Due to company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sign Maker to join our production centre in Desford, Leicester. We require a full-time person with experience of sign making to join our busy team covering the Midlands and nationwide time to time.
We offer a wide range of graphic products from indoor and outdoor signage, window graphics, vehicle graphics and wraps, trade printing and everything in between. In this role, you will be required to work to a high standard and to support the growth of the company with efficiency and initiative.
We therefore require a Sign Maker who has experience in the production of all types of signs, vinyl application and graphics.
What you will do
We will expect you to have received training in sign production and installation, covering a full range of skills and experience such as:
The ability to interpret briefs accurately and an understanding of signage and manufacturing techniques
Good attention to detail
The ability to communicate effectively and contribute as part of a small team
Be confident in the application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles on your own initiative
Using vinyl plotters, large format printers and laminators periodically would be an asset but not essential, when the going gets tough – being versatile to getting the job done is desired,
Experience of sign fitting on site
Safe manual handling of materials
Knowledge of Health & Safety working practices
Experience in vehicle wrapping is desirable (truthfully only tell me if you can wrap if not, I’m more than happy to send on wrapping courses)
Knowledge of design software, such as Adobe Illustrator / Onyx Poster shop would be advantageous
Driving licence essential – car/motorbike – company cars and vans used daily

Our business has grown to the point whereby our current staffing levels are not meeting client demands, you will be part of a growing team , pitching in to support and propel the growth of the company, You must also be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions to meet customer demands when required. Note: I will never ask you to do something that I wouldn’t do myself, we run a very Happy working environment and id like to keep it this way,
Successful applicants will be enthusiastic, able to work on their own initiative, flexible, a great team player, well organised and understand the importance of health and safety. They must also have skills in customer-facing communication and personal hygiene.
Your working hours
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, but you will need to be flexible to work outside of these hours as and when required.
Salary on offer would be based on candidate skillset and experience
