Early Years Practitioner – Level 2
Location: Local Day Nursery (details shared at interview stage)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Lotus Recruitment is working in partnership with a friendly and well‑established day nursery to recruit Level 2 Early Years Practitioners. This is a fantastic opportunity for caring and committed childcare professionals who are passionate about supporting young children in a nurturing early years environment.
The Role
As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner, you will support the day‑to‑day care, learning and development of children, helping to create a safe, engaging and positive nursery setting.
Key responsibilities include:
-Supporting planned activities in line with the EYFS framework
-Assisting in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
-Building warm and positive relationships with children and staff
-Supporting children’s learning, play and emotional wellbeing
-Observing children and contributing to records of progress
-Following safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
-Hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
-Have experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting
-Be caring, patient and enthusiastic
-Have a basic understanding of the EYFS
-Be reliable, professional and able to work well as part of a team
-Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check
