We are looking for an experienced dietitian to work as part of our renal dietetic team within St George’s NHS Foundation Trust who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic with excellent team-working, communication and organisationalskills.Ourrenal team is well respected and covers a wide range of patients including nephrology, pre-dialysis, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplant patients in our specialist renal ward, clinics and dialysis units. To work as a member of the specialist renal dietetic team at St Georges Hospital. To be responsible for providing a highly specialist dietetic service to renal patients; following evidence based practice, being an
active multidisciplinary team member, educator, developing nutrition policies and guidelines, participating in audit and research related to renal services in order to improve health outcomes and develop the role
and service.
St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the regional specialist care provider for south west London, Surrey and beyond. We are a regional renal transplant centre. With national and regional referrals added to our local 3.5m catchment, we serve a population of around 5m. Acute and tertiary health services are delivered from over 1,000 beds across two sites, by around 8,000 staff.
The Trust has very good public transport links by tube, train, bus and is on the CS7 cycle superhighway. Tooting is a great place to live and work. The wider dietetic department consists of over 70 dietitians, who provide clinical inpatient, outpatient and community services to a variety of specialties including cardiology, critical care, diabetes, gastro, haematology, HIV, infectious diseases, major trauma, neurology/neuro surgery, oncology, paediatrics, renal and surgical diseases.
The department is committed to training dietetic students and actively participates in the training programs of clinical and non-clinical staff.
