Science Teacher – SEMH Provision (Rochdale)
Pay: £150 – £210 per day (depending on experience)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term opportunity available

I’m currently working with a school in Rochdale that supports students with SEMH needs, and they’re looking for a Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a great opportunity for a Science Teacher who enjoys building strong relationships, creating structure in the classroom, and helping students re-engage with learning. The school has a supportive team in place and a strong focus on consistency, routine and wellbeing.

As a Science Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons and helping students build confidence and make progress, both academically and personally.

The role will include:

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (depending on experience and specialism)


  • Delivering structured lessons with clear routines and expectations


  • Supporting students with SEMH needs, where behaviour and wellbeing can be a key part of the day


  • Working closely with pastoral and SEN teams to keep learning positive and consistent


  • Helping students develop confidence, resilience and a more positive relationship with education


    To be a good fit, you will need:

    • QTS or QTLS


    • Experience supporting SEMH, behaviour needs or similar in a UK school setting


    • A calm, resilient approach and strong classroom management


    • A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
