Summary
Illuminate Care Group is searching for compassionate, resilient, and inspiring individuals to join our Supported Accommodation service. We are looking for people who can bring their authentic selves to work, build trust, and empower our young people to navigate the journey into adulthood with confidence and care.
You will be part of a supportive, love-led team committed to creating a nurturing, respectful, and safe environment where young people aged 16–18 can flourish. At Illuminate, we don’t just provide accommodation — we offer a place to grow, learn, and belong.
Our team members are everyday heroes who show up with kindness, courage, and consistency, helping our young people develop practical life skills, emotional resilience, and a belief in their own potential. If you want to make a difference in the lives of young people and believe in trauma-informed, relationship-based practice, we want to hear from you.
If you can:
* Build meaningful, respectful relationships with young people
* Promote independence and help young people build practical life skills
* Support emotional regulation, boundaries, and routines
* Keep young people safe and act as a positive role model
* Support care planning and maintain accurate records
* Promote the values of Illuminate Care Group
* Stay calm and compassionate when things get tough
* Use basic IT systems and communicate effectively
* Hold a full driving licence (desirable but negotiable)
Then we can offer you:
* A competitive salary based on experience and qualification
* A passionate and nurturing team who value each other and the young people
* A family-feel environment that focuses on connection, not correction
* A structured rota that promotes a healthy work/life balance
* Opportunities to progress and develop your career in care
* A self-care approach that prioritises staff wellbeing
* Ongoing training including trauma-informed practice and safeguarding
* A strong and supportive leadership team

We are recruiting for the following levels of Supported Accommodation Practitioners, working with young people aged 16–18:

At this level, you’ll be expected to begin a Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or similar).

- Key working and progress planning
- Supporting move-on plans and independent living skills
- Liaising with external professionals
- Supporting reports and risk assessments
- Leading shifts and mentoring Level 1 staff
Level 3 – Team Leader
As a senior member of the team, you will:
- Lead shifts and provide team supervision
- Attend and contribute to professionals’ meetings
- Take a lead on safeguarding, risk, and support plans
- Mentor and support the development of junior staff
- Uphold service quality and compliance
Salary:
Level 1: £25,162
Level 2: £28,000
Level 3: £29,000
Plus, a sleeping-in payment of £60 per night and mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
(All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS check.)
Shift Pattern:
Full-time and part-time permanent contracts available, with structured shifts including sleep-ins and 24-hour cover. Rota patterns are planned to ensure you get the work-life balance you deserve.
Our Supported Accommodation Homes:
We provide safe, welcoming, and aspirational homes across Gainsborough, Doncaster, and the surrounding areas. Each young person is treated with dignity, kindness, and care – never just as a placement. Our aim is to support them in developing the tools and confidence they need for independent living.
