Summary

Wage rate: £12.60 per hour

P/T Support Worker / Driver, 6 hrs per week.

Social support.

6 hrs per week - 1 evening shift every week and 1 weekend day or evening, fortnightly.

Duties:

To support a young lady who has Cerebral Palsy and is a full-time wheelchair user socially. You will be required to assist her at Boccia training sessions in Glasgow weekly, and 1 day at the weekend for social activities, every fortnight.

Further details discussed at interview.

You will help to plan activities.

Interests include: fashion/modelling, disability sport, music and motorsport.

She gets on well with people of her own peer group, mid 20s/30s that share common interests.

The young lady has a stammer, you will be required to be patient and give her time to get her words out and be confident in taking phone calls for her as/when required. You should be friendly, reliable and easy going.

Preferably have a moving and assisting certificate, as you will be assisting with car transfers, pushing her wheelchair and occasionally assist with personal care.

Driver with access to own vehicle is required, you will be required to have business use on your car Insurance. Mileage will be reimbursed for using your car as part of your duties.

The family have 1 small rescue dog.
***This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period, with a 1 weeks’ notice if the post isn't working out.
